Knit Along

Hipster Top Knit-a-Long

$0.00

Fridays July 26th - August 30 at 3-5 PM

Join Cathryn in late July through August to knit the beautiful Hipster Top by Joji Locatelli. Cathryn is already playing with her sample out of Woolfolk Tynd for this one and loves how it's working up. We'll meet Fridays at 3 during our Friday Afternoon Stitching sessions in the shop. This knit calls for a fingering yarn, gauging at 24 stitches and 40 rows over 4 inches on a US 3. Call or come in for help finding your yarn before we start. We require Maker+Stitch purchased yarn for this KAL.

Knit-a-longs are gatherings where we knit the same project at the same time. We share tips and stories and encouragement, and have fun working alongside each other. They are unfacilitated by Maker+Stitch, but we have help punch cards available if help is needed!

You can join us from afar too (though we won't have e-meet available) by purchasing your yarn from M+S and sharing your pics with us through email or instagram @makerandstitch. We will share your progress on Instagram and cheer you along.

Here are the details about the Hipster Top from Ravelry

Inspired by Joji's popular Hipster Shawls, this tee features the same playful details on the shoulders and adds a fresh twist with simple stripes. It’s a perfect project for anyone looking to add a fun, easy to knit, yet sophisticated piece to their wardrobe.

This top is worked from the shoulders down. The knitting begins with the crossed stitch pattern (you can find a link to a video tutorial here), and then continues downwards towards the back and the fronts. All pieces are then joined at the underarm.

This tee has ZERO finishing required, so when you bind off at the bottom, you are done with your top!
