Knitting 101: Learn to Knit a Cowl


Two-Part Class, Friday, December 4th 12-2PM and Friday, December 11th 11:30-Noon.

Whether you are brand-new to knitting or just need to refresh your knitting skills this class you will introduce you to the foundations that you need to start knitting your own beautiful slow-fashion accessories. 

In this class, you will learn to knit a cozy cowl. We will teach you how to cast-on, how to master the knit stitches, how to bind-off, weave in your ends, and how to block your cowl to give it a fresh and polished finished look.

Before you know it, your knitting skills will greatly improve and expand, and you'll be able to incorporate new knitting stitches and techniques into a greater variety of patterns and designs.

Please purchase your yarn, not included, at Maker+Stitch. Materials needed for the class are:

200 yards of bulky weight yarn
US 10.5 straight or circular needle
Darning Needle

This class will take place at Maker+Stitch and is limited to three participants. We will follow all Covid safety protocols. Masks are required.
